Part Nos: CD-1, CD-2, CD-A

The CD-1 and CD-2 Crankshaft Grinder Drive Dogs are designed for use with most center type crankshaft grinders. These time saving drive dogs have a quick-action clamping feature that eliminates tightening any nuts or bolts with a wrench. Simple finger tightening of the hand nuts, then closing the quick-action lever, locks the crankshaft securely after each indexing.

The Drive Dogs are designed specifically for automotive and light truck crankshafts. Normally purchased as a pair, the CD-1 with a diameter range of 3/4" to 2-1/4" will fit the snout of the crankshaft and the CD-2, with a diameter range of 1-3/8" to 3-3/8" will fit the flange end. Additionally, the CD-1 is intended for use on the left-hand side and the CD-2 on the right-hand side.

The CD-1 and CD-2 are precision machined from alloy steels and properly heat treated for maximum strength and durability. Reports from satisfied users indicate timesavings that will pay for a set of Drive Dogs in as little as four weeks.

In some applications, various drive extensions will be necessary in order to grind certain crankshafts. Part number CD-A (bottom photo) contains a set of three different drive adapters which bolt to the Drive Dog. The adapters are manufactured from the same material as the drive dogs, heat treated and supplied with attachment bolts.
